What information does Camp Six Acres collect?
While using this website, Camp Six Acres collects information from you about you, your use of the website, and the camper you are registering for our program. We collect information that you provide to us related to you and/or to your camper, such as name, address, telephone number, email address, credit card information, health and school information, emergency contact information, and birthday. We also may collect information from the device you use to view the website, such as which operating system and web browser you are using, the type of device you’ve accessed the site on, which pages on the site you visit and for how long, and your IP address. Our site may place a cookie (a small data file) on your device in order to expedite some of the functions on our site, such as completing a registration applicant, and to generally improve your overall experience on the site. We may also make use of web beacons (elements in a webpage or an email that collect information when accessed) to determine when you have visited a page on our site or read an email we sent to you. When you use our site to register a camper for Camp Six Acres and to pay your camper fees, your information is processed by our service provider, Regpack. Regpack securely collects your registration and payment information, and this information is subject to Regpack’s own privacy policy.
How does Camp Six Acres use your information?
Your information collected on our site is used to add your camper to our camp roster and process the registration fees using your credit card. Your camper’s information is stored securely in our records and used in the course of providing a fun and safe camping experience at Camp Six Acres. We will use information such as listed allergies and emergency contact information to keep your camper safe, and information such as birthday to ensure your camper has a great experience. This information will be kept confidential and shared with staff and vendors on a need-to-know basis for the smooth operation of the camp program. We may also share some of this information with Temple Shalom, operator of Camp Six Acres, for purposes of administering the business. Information collected related to your use of the website may be used for the purpose of improving our site and the experience of our visitors. We do not sell any of your personal information to any third parties.
How can I request that Camp Six Acres change or delete my information?
You may request that we correct or remove your personal information from our files by emailing director@campsixacres.org or by calling the camp office. We will promptly make any corrections you request. You may also request that we provide you with any item of your personal information from our files. If you would like us to remove information related to you or your camper, we will be glad to remove any information that is not necessary for your camper’s successful participation in a current or upcoming camp session, or information that we are otherwise required to maintain in our files pursuant to applicable laws, rules, or regulations. If you would like to stop receiving emails from Camp Six Acres that are not related to your camper’s attendance in a current or upcoming session (e.g., Camp Six Acres news emails, registration reminder emails), you may request that we remove your email address from our mailing list and we will process your request promptly.
